Honoring Dan Stanczak: A Legacy of Leadership and a New Chapter for SAE’s Financial Stewardship

After over 20 years of dedicated service, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Dan Stanczak (Loyola ’03), who has served as our Chief Business Officer and a steadfast steward of the Fraternity’s finances. Dan’s decision to step away was made with great care and for the benefit of his family and future, and we are grateful for the time and support he gave to ensure a smooth transition.

Dan’s impact on Sigma Alpha Epsilon cannot be overstated. His leadership, integrity, selflessness, and commitment have shaped not only the financial health of our organization but also the professional growth of those around him.

As we turn the page, we are excited to share that the Fraternity’s financial management responsibilities have transitioned to Sigma Alpha Epsilon Financial and Housing. Their team of six dedicated professionals is already working diligently to support the mission of both the Fraternity and the Foundation.

Juan Faria (Salem State ’17) said, “We at SAE F&H are incredibly excited about this opportunity to further support the mission of the Fraternity and the Foundation through our expertise in financial management. This transition aligns perfectly with our ongoing commitment to the long-term health and stability of SAE.

Our dedicated accounting team will be responsible for managing all accounting duties moving forward. It is important to note that Membership & Records will continue to handle Chapter billing, invoicing, and other Chapter-facing responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for our Members, Officers, and Volunteers.

I would personally like to acknowledge Dan’s significant contributions to the organization over the years. Almost eight years ago, Dan took a chance on a rookie accountant for the Staff Accountant role at the Fraternity, and I was fortunate to join the FSC staff. Under his guidance, I was privileged to grow professionally and eventually become the Controller for SAE F&H for the past four years. I look forward to building upon the strong foundation he has established at both the Fraternity and the Foundation, and continuing to serve SAE in this new capacity.

We are committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient transition and are eager to embark on this new chapter in supporting the SAE Foundation and the Fraternity.”

As a testament to being a True Gentleman, Dan has agreed to meet with Juan and Steve Mitchell (Indiana ’83) once a month through December to make sure we have a seamless transition.
