The Connecticut Beta Chapter is honored to have been selected as the University of Connecticut’s Interfraternity Council (IFC) 2025 Chapter of the Year. This award is designed to recognize the chapter that has demonstrated excellence in all endeavors and represents the highest qualities of fraternity and sorority life related to the shared pillars of citizenship, leadership, and scholarship. This chapter has gone above and beyond to exemplify the values that we encourage in the UConn Greek life community and does so with sincere compassion for the greater good.
The Connecticut Beta Chapter received full University recognition in Spring of 2024, after an absence of 10 years, and has now gone on to be recognized as the IFC Chapter of the Year, beating out fraternities who held recognition for far longer.
Along with this honor, the chapter was recognized as a two-time recipient of Navy-Status, the highest recognition with the University, an honor only two other fraternities achieved in 2024. That same night, the chapter’s Eminent Archon, Ryan Engels, was inducted into the Order of Omega, a prestigious honor society for fraternity and sorority community leaders.
