This year, Ohio Epsilon proudly marked their 100th year at the University of Cincinnati — a century of brotherhood, service, and impact. In honor of this milestone, the chapter has taken on a new emphasis on leadership, scholarship, and advocacy for mental health.

Their most significant work this year was men’s mental health, something that had become near and dear to their hearts following the tragic loss of brother and alumnus, Sebastian Schemmel. During Paddy Murphy Week, over 35 brothers shaved their heads and raised over $7,000 in his honor — an event which brought the chapter together and united the campus as a whole to raise awareness and champion men’s mental health.
Community outreach has also remained a key pillar of their mission. They have hosted food and supply drives for the Freestore Foodbank, hosted local after-school programs for less fortunate children, and maintained a growing partnership with Women Helping Women, a Cincinnati nonprofit advocating for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
As they enter the second century, Ohio Epsilon remains committed to the values of ΣΑΕ through action, compassion, and leadership. “We’re just getting started, and we’re honored to represent the very best of what our fraternity has to offer,” Eminent Deputy Archon Justin Berg said.
