“We cannot take a step in the pathway of progress without benefiting mankind everywhere.” President William McKinley, Ohio Sigma ‘72
Brothers,
As you may recall, Dr. Steadman Boston was promoted to Senior Director of Operations in October, creating an opportunity to further strengthen our leadership within Risk Management. In recognition of their outstanding work and unwavering commitment to protecting our members, we are proud to announce that Layne Smith has been promoted to Director of Risk Management and Madison Simmons to Associate Director of Risk Management.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon remains a leading fraternity because we hold ourselves to a standard of excellence that demands both accountability and growth. Fulfilling that standard requires continual advancement in education, prevention, and leadership. We are confident that Layne and Madison will continue to elevate our approach to risk management, ensuring that the safety and well-being of our brothers remains central to everything we do. This responsibility is not simply governed by policy—it is fundamental to our values.
Additionally, Kayla McCloud will be transitioning into the role of Associate Chief of Staff. This position has been created to enhance organizational clarity and long-term continuity by strengthening how responsibilities, processes, and best practices are documented, shared, and sustained. Kayla’s work in this role will be instrumental in preserving institutional knowledge and ensuring our operations remain aligned, efficient, and forward-focused.
Brothers, meaningful progress is underway at the Fraternity Service Center, and these leadership advancements position us well for even greater success in the future.
Fraternally,
Steve Mitchell
