The Record Online

The Record Online is the official online publication for Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Alongside the printed magazine The Record, this publication is dedicated to chapter and alumni news, events and opportunities, and serves a way for brothers to stay connected with the organization.

Donor Spotlight: Lon Deckard (Kentucky ’69)

Sigma Alpha Epsilon depends on your generosity to elevate our members’ experience to the highest levels—learning how to become True Gentlemen and taking that knowledge out into the world. We want to highlight just one of our many donors who support this organization.

Lon Deckard is a member of the Kentucky Epsilon chapter at the University of Kentucky. He is a devoted supporter of the SAE Foundation because he wants young brothers to get as much out of the organization as he did as an undergraduate. He is a Ruby Level donor and has made regular contributions to the Annual Loyalty Fund for the last 25 years. Read more about Lon below and click here for more information about the SAE Foundation.

When asked to recall his favorite SAE memory, Lon answered simply, “Friendship.” Lon maintains 50-year-old friendships with his chapter brothers from Kentucky to this day and said that his wife has even developed her own friendship with their spouses.

What have you done professionally?

Lon is an entrepreneur. He has started, grown, and sold several businesses throughout his career. He currently owns one company, Quadrel, Inc.

What advice do you have for undergraduates?
