Lloyd Everson is a member of the North Dakota Alpha chapter at the University of North Dakota. He is a devoted supporter of the SAE Foundation because SAE was an important part of his college life and formative years in education and life. What is your favorite SAE memory?
When asked this question, Lloyd responded that the fellowship and daily interactions with good friends and brothers are his favorite memories, in addition to meeting his future wife, Jacque!
What offices did you hold?
As an undergraduate, Lloyd remembers serving as Pledge Trainer, Eminent Archon, and Eminent Preceptor. As an alumnus, Lloyd served on the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation Board of Trustees from 2007-2020.
Why do you give to SAE?
Lloyd gives back to the Fraternity because he hopes to support continued growth in SAE – both nationally and at the chapter level – North Dakota Alpha.
What have you done professionally?
Lloyd is an accomplished Oncologist and Hematologist. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1969. Past positions include President and CEO of the U.S. Division of Molecular Health, Inc., Vice Chairman of US Oncology Inc., and President, and COO of American Oncology Resources, Inc. Additionally, President George W. Bush appointed him to the National Cancer Advisory Board in 2006. Lloyd has also served on the Board of Directors for several professional organizations.
What advice do you have for undergraduates?
Lloyd says, “Whatever you do with your postgraduate career – do it with passion and never give up despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles and odds.”
