Last weekend marked a historic milestone for the Sacred Heart University chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (Connecticut Sigma-Eta), as the chapter officially received its Charter.
Over 100 men officially became brothers of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. The occasion was celebrated with a banquet attended by fraternity brothers, fraternity staff, Sacred Heart staff, friends and family, and the CT Sigma Eta Alumni Advisory Board. During the banquet, Trent Wright was honored with the Order of the Phoenix, one of the highest undergraduate awards in Sigma Alpha Epsilon, recognizing his outstanding commitment and loyalty to the fraternity.
Trent reflected on the journey: “It is hard to put into words what this experience has meant to me. Over the past year, the chapter has worked tirelessly to achieve this incredible milestone.”
He extended gratitude to key individuals who made this achievement possible, including Jake Maggiacomo and Owen Delisle for their exceptional leadership; Pete Engle and Steve Watson for their guidance and support; and friends Ava Kissel and Isabella Beardsley, who were recognized with the Order of the Violet for their outstanding contributions. Trent also thanked all the brothers of CT Sigma Eta for entrusting him to lead Member Education, as well as Steve Mitchell for his support in bringing the chapter to Connecticut.
This milestone not only marks the official recognition of the chapter but also highlights the dedication, teamwork, and leadership of its members, a testament to the enduring values of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
