It’s that time of year again when the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at West Chester University, along with their friends, come together to celebrate Paddy Murphy Week. This week-long event is a major philanthropy initiative, featuring daily fundraising activities designed to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Paddy Murphy Week is a special opportunity to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact on the lives of CHOP’s patients. Every contribution matters, and all support is greatly appreciated.
The chapter’s original goal was to raise $10,000, but they surpassed that by raising $13,155! By raising this incredible amount, they brought their total to nearly $50,000 over the past three years for the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Though this group of young men is small in number, they are deserving of recognition and praise — not only for their recent achievements, but also for their continued growth as campus leaders and their dedication to building True Gentlemen.
While there are occasional challenges, like noise violations and other aspects of today’s ‘fraternity life,’ we must not lose sight of the positive impact these young men have on the community and society.
