Sigma Alpha Epsilon is built on brotherhood, leadership, and perseverance, and NY Beta brother Luke St. Amand has carried those values through every step of his journey. From graduating as co-valedictorian, working as an engineer at Amazon, and now co-founding Lectec, Luke has continuously challenged himself to grow.
But success isn’t just about individual effort – it’s about the people who support you along the way. The brotherhood of SAE has played a huge role in Luke’s journey, from the leadership skills he gained in the fraternity to the lifelong friendships that continue to shape his path. To this day, some of his closest friendships – including his current roommate – are SAE brothers, and the support system he built through the fraternity has been invaluable.
Now, Luke’s journey has reached an exciting milestone – Lectec will be featured on Shark Tank on February 7th at 8 PM EST! His story is a testament to the power of brotherhood, resilience, and always pushing beyond expectations. SAE is proud to support our brother as he takes this next step and continues to make an impact in business, entrepreneurship, and STEM education.
About Lectec
Lectec was founded on the idea that students learn best by doing. The company creates DIY electric vehicle kits that let students build and ride their own personal electric transportation, integrating STEM concepts in a hands-on, real-world way. Inspired by a garage project and a young nephew’s curiosity, Lectec has grown into a startup that’s capturing the attention of educators, students, and now—the Sharks.
