50 YEAR OREGON ALPHA REUNION

The 1973 SAE Oregon State (Oregon Alpha) class joined together on September 16 to celebrate the 50th year since graduating from Oregon State University. Classes of 1974, 1975, and 1976, all four classes that lived at 2929 in the Spring of ’73, attended as well.

“Thank you for all who made long trips – from New Hampshire, North Carolina, Mexico, Detroit, San Diego, Boise, Mercer Island  (and Beaver Oregon!) – to join in brotherhood and friendship at our fraternal home at 2929 NW Harrison Blvd,” Dick Thompson.

Over 40 alumni were in attendance during the reunion weekend.  Congratulations go to the Reunion organizers – Dick Thompson ’73, Jim Rector ’74, Scott Spiegelberg ’75, and John Thompson ’76 and all those who pitched in in some way to help make the weekend a huge success. 

Without going into a great deal of detail, here are some photo highlights – this is truly what lifelong fraternal friendship looks like:

Ray Taroli (’74) was honored on the field in the 3rd quarter (his 100-yard kickoff return at UCLA in 1971 was highlighted).
