Yesterday was National Voter Registration Day, a national holiday celebrating our democracy and ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to vote. There are more potential voters under the age of 35 than any other group. Young people, including the Sigma Alpha Epsilon collegiate body and most recent alumni, make up a third of the electorate. SAE strongly supports exercising one of the United States’ most basic rights – the right to vote. In 2019, voters have the opportunity to decide the fate of over 500 elected officials between the House, the Senate and governor races across the country. It is the perfect opportunity to get engaged in your community and let your voice be heard, no matter what party you support or which issues matter most to you.
