In coordination with National Hazing Prevention Week, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is pleased to share an extended version of Love, Mom and Dad as an educational program for chapters, colonies, and other groups.
Love, Mom and Dad was a keynote address given by the parents of Tim Piazza, Max Gruver, and Marquise Braham at the 83rd John O. Moseley Leadership School. This video expands upon the initial video message, includes reflection and messages on the stories of Tim, Max, and Marquise, details on definitions of hazing, recognizing hazing, good Samaritan/amnesty policies, and a challenge to make a difference in viewer’s campuses and communities.
The video is about 23 minutes in length, and includes a facilitator’s guide to enhance discussion, understanding, and commit to actions on eliminating hazing. The program provides for chapters, campus communities, and high schools to reflect and develop ways to act on the dangers of hazing.
As part of National Hazing Prevention Week, the Fraternity will be sharing the commitments made by attendees of the Leadership School to prevent hazing. We are asking our members to share these messages on their respective social media platforms, as well as reactions and commitments to preventing hazing using #NHPW and #LoveMomAndDad.
